Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
MEP Assist™ is a product of CRSM Technologies Ltd., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.
This policy applies to the mep-assist.com website and our early-access signup list. It does not yet cover the MEP Assist desktop application, which will be governed by its own privacy terms at launch.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you submit the early-access form, we collect the email address you provide, along with the date and time of your submission and a record of the consent you gave.
Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site. This collects information such as pages visited, approximate location (city-level, derived from IP address), device and browser type, referral source, and interaction events. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to do this. See Section 5 for details and how to opt out.
Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records standard technical logs (such as IP address, request time, and browser type) for security and operational purposes.
We do not collect payment information through this website, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. This website is intended for professional use.
3. How we use your information
We use the email address you provide to:
- Contact you about early access to MEP Assist™, including beta invitations and launch announcements; and
- If you separately opt in, send you ongoing marketing communications such as product updates, feature announcements, and industry content.
Ongoing marketing is optional. You will only receive marketing emails beyond early-access and launch communications if you check the marketing consent box on the signup form (it is not pre-checked). Every commercial email we send includes a working unsubscribe link, and unsubscribe requests are honoured within 10 business days as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
We use analytics data in aggregate form to understand site traffic and improve our website and content.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Legal basis and consent
We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your consent and in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act (British Columbia) and, where applicable, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
By submitting the early-access form, you consent to us collecting and using your email address to communicate with you about early access and the launch of MEP Assist™. Consent to ongoing marketing communications is collected separately, as described in Section 3, and we keep a record of when and how each consent was given.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send or by contacting us (Section 11). Withdrawing consent will remove you from our mailing list; it does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
5. Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics places cookies on your device to distinguish visitors and measure site usage. The data collected is described in Section 2.
You can control or refuse cookies in the following ways:
- Browser settings — most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies;
- Google Analytics opt-out — install Google's opt-out browser add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout; and
- Google's controls — information about how Google uses data from sites that use its services is available at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
We have configured Google Analytics to retain user-level data for the minimum available period. Analytics data may be processed by Google on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States.
6. Service providers and disclosure
We share personal information only with the service providers we need to operate this website and our mailing list:
- Netlify, Inc. (United States) — hosts this website and processes early-access form submissions through Netlify Forms;
- Google LLC (United States) — provides Google Analytics and our business email and productivity tools (Google Workspace); and
- Email delivery provider — if we adopt a dedicated email marketing platform, it will process subscriber email addresses on our behalf, and we will update this policy to name it.
These providers process personal information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose personal information if required by law, court order, or a government authority with valid jurisdiction, or to protect our legal rights.
7. Where your information is stored
We operate from Canada, but the service providers listed above store and process data primarily in the United States. This means your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in a foreign jurisdiction, where it may be accessible to that jurisdiction's courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities under local law. By submitting your information, you acknowledge this transfer.
8. Data retention
We retain early-access signup information until the earlier of:
- Your unsubscribe or deletion request;
- 24 months after the early-access list is retired following launch (unless you have opted in to ongoing marketing, in which case we retain your email until you unsubscribe); or
- The information is no longer needed for the purposes described in this policy.
Records of consent are retained for three years after the consent ends, as evidence of CASL compliance. Google Analytics user-level data is retained for 14 months, the platform's minimum retention setting.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request:
- Access to the personal information we hold about you;
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Deletion of your personal information; and
- Withdrawal of consent to further collection, use, or disclosure.
To make a request, email callum@mep-assist.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (www.oipc.bc.ca) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (www.priv.gc.ca).
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including access controls and reputable third-party providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, including as we launch the MEP Assist application and expand to other markets.
